Or the quicker route by road:

Going west out of Glasgow on the M8, immediately after passing the Glasgow Airport junction, turn left onto the A737, marked to Irvine. After approximately 10 miles on the A737, turn right onto the A760, marked to Lochwinnoch, Kilbirnie and Largs. Continue for approximately 15 miles, through Kilbirnie until you hit the A78 coast road. Instead of turning right into Largs, turn left towards Fairlie and Kelburn is clearly marked one mile on the left hand side.
